Abstract: Child delinquency has long been a subject of criminological and sociological research, with various theoretical frameworks attempting to explain its ethology. While numerous factors contribute to child delinquency-including socio-economic conditions, peer influence, and educational background-family structure remains one of the most significant risk determinants. This study specifically examines family completeness as a risk factor, exploring whether children from incomplete families (single-parent households or those without parental care) exhibit higher rates of delinquent behaviour compared to those from complete families. The research employs a quantitative approach, analysing child delinquency cases over five-year period (2019-2023) to determine correlations between family composition and child crime involvement. The study categorises child offenders based on their family structure-distinguishing between those living with both parents, divorced parents, those living with one deceased parent, those living with a single parent, and those living without parental supervision. The primary objective is to assess whether children from fragmented families are at a statistically higher risk of delinquent behaviour and to evaluate the extend to which family completeness serves as a protective or risk factor. Beyond quantitative analysis, the study integrates theoretical perspectives on child delinquency in order to contextualise the findings. Moreover, this research proposes potential preventive measures and policy recommendations, emphasising the role of family support systems, social interventions, and child justice reforms aimed at mitigating the negative effects of incomplete family structures. Keywords: Child delinquency, family completeness, single-parent households, criminological theory, risk, factors, youth crime prevention, quantitive analysis.
