Title: RISEMANTIZIMI I SIMBOLEVE MITIKE NË POEZINË E ALI PODRIMJES

Abstract: The poetry of Ali Podrimja marks that form of writing where modern features are entirely prevalent. In this paper, we will study symbolical language as the representative features of his poetics. Given that symbols are diverse, it was seen as necessary to analyse a certain typology, which is why we focused on the mythological symbols. There is also another reason for this and that is because this return to myth is one of the most typical features of modern day poetry and it has been used as a way to build the apocalyptic vision of the world and to convey the universal spirit. In this paper we attempt to find the reason behind Podrimja’s return to the mythological subject, the new meaning these symbols are associated with and the figures of speech generated by this field in poetry. A special entry has been dedicated to the classification of symbols based on their frequency of use and to the explanation of results referring to the poetical context where each use has appeared. The order in which symbols appeared was never random, but always denoted a certain meaning, which oftentimes reflected images from the historical reality.
