Abstract: This paper examines the intention of the youth population to work and live abroad based on a non - probability sample of the student population. Quantitative strategy is used. The aims of the paper are: to depict the attitudes of the young population in Macedonia towards emigration and try to distinguish the potential emigrant student. Depth analysis is primarily founded on the elemental data. The obtained data are analyzed at the level of the univariate, and bivariate analysis. Application of the binary logistic model was aimed to determine the net effect of the factor variables mentioned above in shaping attitudes towards emigration. Data shows that respondents appear to be particularly keen on mobility, irrespective of some their specific sociodemographic characteristics. The majority of respondents belongs to the group of potentially permanent migration, and also majority is ready to move within one year provided they got an opportunity.
