Abstract: Auricular reconstructive surgery encompasses a variety of tech- niques for congenital deformities. In our experience, Pitanguy’s method reduces postoperative morbidity which affects the aesthetic results. Our preference is to plan the otoplasty as young as five years of age, after the child has expressed some concerns about the deformity.
