Title: Одредени аспекти од онтолошките системи на Апулеј и на Нумениј

Author: Тодоровска, Марија

Abstract: The article briefly explores some of the ontological concepts of Apuleius and of Numenius of Apamea, which, although unrelated, shed some light on certain tendencies of the middle Platonist philosophy. A brief overview of the complex ontological schematics of Apuleius is offered, showing the (not always) triadic structure of the six major schemes of being, as well as his concepts of God (along with some of his views on his nature and ineffability), gods, and demons. Through the extant fragments, Numenius’ concepts on matter, Forms, and the status of being are demonstrated, along with his opinions on the Maker of the cosmos, and his take on The First God, second and third gods, and their relationship with the world.
