Title: Cochliabolus Miyabeanus (Ito & Kuribayashi) Drechs

Abstract: Examinations are made in 2003 and 2004. Many microscopic reviews are made on the material of rice plants, found in the region of Kocani, the symptoms of the disease are described and afterwards isolations on Potato Dextrose Agar medium are made to examine the morphological characteristics of the disease. Based on the symptoms of the disease and the morphological characteristics of the pathogen, we came to a conclusion that the parasitic fungus Cochliobolus miyabeanus causes the brown spot of rice.
