Abstract: The uniformly approachable functions introduced by A.Berarducci, D.Dikanjan and J.Pelant, are defined by a property stronger than continuity and weaker than uniform continuity. They are a common generalization of uniformly continous functions and perfect functions. In this paper we define uniformly approachable maps and develop some basic tools for the study of these maps.
