Title: Arduino Radar with Simulink
Author: Mustafovski, Rexhep
Abstract: This project presents the design and implementation of a short-range radar detection system based on the Arduino Mega 2560 platform and developed using a Simulink model fully designed and implemented by Rexhep Mustafovski. The system integrates an ultrasonic sensor and a servo motor to perform controlled angular scanning between 0° and 180°, enabling accurate short-distance object detection. The Simulink model replaces traditional Arduino IDE programming by generating and deploying embedded code directly to the microcontroller. Measured angle and distance data are transmitted via serial communication to a personal computer, where an updated and optimized Processing code, further developed by Rexhep Mustafovski, generates a real-time radar visualization interface compatible with different screen resolutions. The project demonstrates model-based design, embedded system integration, real-time data processing, and graphical visualization, providing a structured educational platform for teaching embedded systems and sensor-based control applications.
