Abstract: Journalism, often referred to as the fourth estate, plays a significant role in fostering transparency and democracy within a society. Investigative journalism as part of the journalistic profession, has exactly that pivotal role in contributing to a transparent democratic society and in raising media trust. The current absence of MA in Investigative Journalism in the region, highlights the pressing need for a specialized curriculum in this field. The initial challenge involves crafting a study program (to choose the appropriate structure and content) and obtaining accreditation, the second challenge is to promote the program (in order to attract more students) and establish credibility.
