Title: Complexometric Titrations-Principles and Applications in Pharmacy
Author: Gulaboski, Rubin
Abstract: Quantification of many metallic ions present in various samples, such as water, pharmaceuticals, drugs, beverages and many more, can be achieved with a simple complexometric titration. The complexometry is based on chemical reaction of stable complex-formation between a given metallic cation and EDTA ligand. In this presentation, written in Macedonian, we give detailed description of the basic principles and applications of complexometric titrations. Moreover, we also focus on methods of masking and demasking procedures for interfering ions. Lecture is suitable for pharmacy and chemistry students.
